Favourite Bands Face Masks

Face Masks with your favourite band on them

80s music on my mask

I know the new norm is to wear a mask...

The new Norm - masks

If I have to wear a mask I want it to have a bit of personality, showing my favourite bands seems like a great idea. I found a bunch of really cool masks while cruising Amazon the other day. Check these out.

MOTLEY CRUE

That Motley Crue love to wear their masks. Tommy Lee still has a bit to learn. The disease is not transmitted that way Tommy!

Have Nikki Stixx on your face! I know most of you already have, but for the few who didn't hit a Crue concert in the 80s here is your chance.

Twisted Sister

I don't like those boring paper masks, I'm not gonna take it, I want a cool one. I want one with Twisted Sister on it!

Dee Snider is actually a vocal supporter of masks

Billy Idol

Wearing a mask could have been the end of Billy Idol's career. We would have never seen the IDOL SNEER.

80s Music Meme Masks

Rick Astley is not only a meme star, but now he is available in mask form. Imagine the comments you would get wearing this? This mask will never let you down when it comes to controlling the spread of the 'rona virus.

VAN HALEN MEMES 80s

FUNNY VAN HALEN MEMES

I still listen to Van Halen's early 80s songs daily. How about you? You still have the 1984 album? If not get it quick - https://amzn.to/30lnvtq

There are so many great songs!

How about their number 1 hit song from 1984, that sadly broke up the band. It was still an awesome song!

Van Halen says JUMP, I say how high?
Van Halen Jump on rollerskates? Impossible or just pure ROCK N ROLL!
David Lee Roth Jumps just like the cheerleaders in high school

Then there is Hot For Teacher. I'm thinking kids nowadays could still relate to this song. Heck, they should make Van Halen a part of music lesson in school.

Van Halen was so hot for teacher it reached the point of burning

The original hot for teacher musician - Jimi Hendrix

You could have Van Halen music lessons and incorporate a geography lesson. Eruptions could be playing while the kids learn about volcanoes. Volcanoes erupt, haha.
Van Halen playing Eruption - so hot it burns
I wouldn't recommend David Lee Roth teach the geography, I'm not even sure he knows where Panama is, even though he wrote a song about it. No mention of the panama canal, or bananas, or anything like that. The song was about his driving his hot rod.

Van Halen even know where Panama is
Van Halen could be incorporated into Phys Ed class too. Running With The Devil. What? Running is physical.

Not sure how to incorporate Ain't Talkin' Bout Love, it's a pretty obvious play on words that is funny, but not appropriate for school.

80s Music Memes - very funny

Funny memes about 80s music

BLONDIE, the literally named band that we all know and love. With super hits like Heart of Glass, Call Me, Gonna Get Ya...

Blondie, Call me - doesn't give number

Blondie - gonna get ya

I really liked Foreigner and their rockin' hits, like Urgent, Hot Blooded, and Cold as Ice. Ever take the lyrics literally?

Cold as Ice - not to be taken literally

Speaking of lyrics, what was Def Lep thinking when they wrote Hysteria? Just trying to find a rhyming word with malaria, or diphtheria or careeria-ending-lyrics...who knows?

Def Leppard song writing session
I do still have a landline, just like in the 80s. You hear new music reference cell phones, but they'll never compare to the old landlines, cords and all!

Stevie Wonder and Lionel Ritchie landline joke

Stevie Wonder was wonderful in the 80s too. I think I wore out his 45s, like Part Time Lover, or I just called to say I love, and Isn't She Lovely. He looked pretty cool to.

Stevie Wonder's part time lovers were eligible for dental benefits

I just called to say meme

Stevie Wonder Part Time Lovers, nobody got time for that

Isn't She Lovely Stevie Wonder joke

And, you can't forget to mention TV in the 80s. Come on ALF? A stuffed animal has his own prime time show! And, the staple of daytime television - The Price is Right? Am I right? I hear Bob Barker is still listening to the 80s music.

Billy Ocean - Get Into My Car you Caribbean Queen

When the going gets tough they get into Billy Ocean's Car

Billy Ocean, what a name! That is his stage name. "Billy" is from the Caribbean, hence the name Ocean, but his real name is Leslie Sebastian Charles...so, where 'Billy' came from? Who knows.

What is Billy Ocean's real name - is it William?

No matter the name, Billy Ocean was big time news on the music charts in the mid 80s. His song When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going was a Number 1 hit.

When the going gets tough, the tough get cats

That song along with Caribbean Queen helped him win a Grammy award in 1985.

My personal favourite of William Ocean is Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car.

Image Billy Ocean pulling up in this rust bucket and saying 'get into my car'

People who say, 'get into my car'
Would you get into Billy Ocean's car

Billy is still active in the music scene and has recorded a new album which was slated to be released in April 2020, but due to this darn Covid 19 pandemic it has been delayed to fall 2020. Pretty amazing.

Billy Ocean is worth 12 million, you'd better believe I'd get into his car!
