I always got the feeling that the lead singer of LOVERBOY only liked the weekends? He was always WORKING FOR THE WEEKEND. Probably b/c that is when they would perform their awesome 80s rock!

Then there is PETER GABRIELLE. What a artist. I never understood his music. Like, who wants to SHOCK THE MONKEY. Was this a call against animal cruelty and the use of test rabbits for makeup? I know Peter used a lot of make-up in the 80s.

My favourite 1980s band was MEN WITHOUT HATS. Not sure what hats had to do with anything, but they did have that awesome song SAFETY DANCE. Safe to dance without hats, but not safe to not dance. Not dancing will get you socially isolated. Ouch.

And, they had the great videos that went along with their song. Remember seeing them on MTV. There was that crazy blond haired girl in one of them, that was memorable. Ahh, the 80s memories.

Who was the best rock band in the 80s? No brain needed to answer this question (most of my brain is gone anyway after all the headbanging and subsequent concussions)...Van Halen is the best. Even Alfie knows that!

 The band's biggest hit, JUMP, has some great history behind it. First, it was inspired by a jumper, aka suicidal guy who threatened to jump off a bridge or building or something really really high.
Second, it was the song that broke the band apart. Nice job guys.

 I still love the early Van Halen records. I've pretty much played my 1984 album to death, Eruption just don't work like it used to. And, yes, I still crank it to 11 when I put on the old VH records.

Simon and the boys still have a huge, dedicated, fan base and their songs are still popular on the retro radio stations. And, they had so many hits didn't they?

My favourite song was always WILD BOYS! Doesn't that just describe them to a 'T', or should I say double 'D'!
