The best selling duo of of all time were superstars of the 80s music scene!

D Hall & J Oates |
Daryl Hall and John Oates. Hall and Oates. You can tell where they got the band name from, but apparently they both didn't like being called by their last names. Felt like they were back in high school gym class, or some drill sergeant was reaming them out..."Hall, get down and give me twenty!" But, the duo name stuck and there was no going back.

These two really hit it off after they first met at University in the late 60s. They were both playing in different bands, but realized they liked the same kind of music...and sixty years later they are still playing together.

I happen to run across their PBS special back in 2019. Boy, do they look old now. But, they still play amazing. One of those long haul duos that will never split...I hope.

There are sometimes questions about their relationship. Are they 'together'. Some of the old pics of Hall seem like he could be into men, but it turns out they are more like brothers.

As time passes and seasons change so does my favourite Hall and Oates song. When I was younger it was Maneater! That funky, motowny, bass line really turned my crank.

Then You Make My Dreams Come True was my number one hit for awhile. Probably about the time that movie Three Men And A Baby came out.

There is only one ORIGINAL HALL AND OATES |
Private eyes, I can't go for that, Out of Touch, Kiss on my list, Say it isn't so, Method of modern love, are always on my play list.
|
No Hall and Oates on the playlist, say it isn't so! |
There is one song I almost forgot about, until I heard it on the radio the other day. Rich Girl! Remember that one? It's a little older, and has that kind of disco era feel to it, but I still love it.

Hall and Oates were never Out of Touch! |
Anyway, enough from this Hall and Oates fan.
